Growing Up STEM is a club at Los Alamitos High School and an OC Science Chapter that seeks to provide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) opportunities for the young minds of Los Al and beyond. Through these activities, we hope to inspire and instill an appreciation for the sciences among our youth, and, as they grow, to provide outlets in which they can explore their STEM-based interests.
Growing Up STEM hosted its second Family Science Night at Lee Elementary for students grades K-5, featuring new exciting experiments, including Elephant Toothpaste and Ice Cream!
Our Family Science Night was a great success! With the assistance of Los Alamitos High School science students, Hopkinson students from Kindergarten to 5th Grade participated in a variety of hands-on science experiments.
